How far along......

Hello Friends:

This morning is one of those mornings that we don't often see in Nebraska. It is a cool morning with no wind and very little humidity. In short it is a perfect morning! Because of the beauty of the morning I decided to sit on our deck and do my studying outside. Perhaps not my wisest decision of the day. Before long, I found myself looking off in the distance to the trees and the creek that runs behind our house and appreciating the tranquility of such a beautiful morning. For a short time I was lost in the moment; that was until a chirping bird brought me back to reality. It was at that moment I realized that in a couple of months life is going to be much crazier and moments like this morning will probably happen less. There will be no complaining though, because mine and Erin's lives will soon be changing for the better. I can only imagine the joy we will be experiencing once our "little guy" is brought into the world.

His coming into the world may be happening sooner that we expected. During the doctors visit last week, Erin was measuring slightly bigger than what she should be at this time in her pregnancy. Therefore, the doctor ordered an ultra sound. The preliminary results are that Erin may be a week further than what has been thought. So, she is either half way between her 30th and 31st week or half way between the 31st and 32nd week. I am hoping for the latter of the two. With all of this said, some characteristics of Baby Hall are the following: He could either be about the size of a head of cabbage, weighing 3lbs. and measuring 15.7" in length or he could be the size of a large jicama (a crispy, sweet, edible root that resembles a turnip), weighing about 3.75lbs and measuring 16.7 inches long. All of this depends on how far along the pregnancy is.

Other results of the ultra sound are that the baby is still a boy. Additionally, it showed that he is breech, which we were told is not a concern. Finally, we got a great view and picture of his foot. Other than that, we had no idea what we were looking at.

Erin continues to do well and is still teaching jazzercise. The hot days can be tough on her, and in true fashion for her, she does not complain. She does however, turn the a/c down. Please continue to pray that both Erin and the baby stay healthy.

Grace and peace be with each of you!

Blessings,

Tim
