Hello All:
I would venture to say that each of us remembers exactly what we were doing when we received life changing news. I recently received news that fits the category of life changing and I will forever remember that day and what I was doing.
It was the morning of Wednesday, December 9th; the wind and snow from the night before had drifted in our drive way. Erin and I spent the better part of an hour shoveling the snow. She eventually went inside to place a phone call and get ready for work. At approximately 9:00am I heard a yell coming from the garage door. It is Erin, "Hey, hey". Apparently I didn't hear her the first time so she had to yell. As I approached her with the snow shovel in my hand, I hear her say what is perhaps the greatest and most exciting news any spouse can hear, "We're pregnant!" Standing there with tears in my eyes, I didn't know if my feelings were that of shock or excitement. Perhaps surprised is the better word to use.
Just the day before, Erin had a doctors appointment. During the apppointment she had a conversation with the doctor about getting pregnant. The doctor said she would run some test's and would let Erin know the results. At 9:20pm Tuesday, December 8th the doctor called Erin and left a message for her to call Wednesday morning. Needless to say sleep that night was minimal for both of us. Finally, Erin was able to speak to the doctor on Wednesday morning and was told the good news. After some additional test's on Thursday morning, the pregnancy was confirmed.
Needless to say, we are both very excited and look forward to sharing our lives with a "little Hall". Until that day comes, I would like to ask for your prayers for healthy development of the baby as well good health for Erin.
We will continue to post updates of the pregnancy.
Have a Merry Christmas and God bless!
Tim and Erin
